THE bookshop

Having wondered in the area during lunch time last week I found a little bookshop just around the corner from the office. I had no cash, so decided I would come back to buy the priceless masterpiece - an old edition of Hanse Cristian Andersen's book with story tales which was on offer for £1.

So yesterday I came back.

So let me introduce Treadwell's, a small eclectic bookshop located in Bloomsbury

And its owner Christina

Once you get inside, it appears just like any other small bookshop where, if you are lucky and have a few spare hours, you can find some absolute treasures.

But then my attention was drawn to this little table, or rather to what's been stored on it.

So this is where my discovery journey of what's Threadwell's is really about began...

And I had absolutely no idea what this stone-encrusted stick was, but it looked quite impressive.

And I totally loved these - think one is every girl's must-have for the rainy moody day..

Christina says that they specialise in "worldwide culture, with a special interest in the banned, burned and ridiculed".

And a schedule of events for the upcoming week..

And if all those books, fantastic oils (I particularly liked oil mojo wishing), herbs, charms, resin incenses of no interest to you, you are very welcome to browse or have a drink at a book launch.

You can find all details - http://www.treadwells-london.com/

With a special thanks to Christana and Diana
