Her Majesty and her London

This weekend the Queen and her people are going to celebrate the magnificent 60 years of her rein - The Diamond Jubilee. 

Google told (ah, how dare am I, right?!) that the Queen came to the throne on the 6 February 1952 and her coronation took place on 2 June 1953. 

With an estimated cost of the celebrations to come to more than £1.3bn and with a first heir to the Crown probably having given up on an idea to be crowned ever, here is a snap-shot of what pre-Jubilee-ish London looks like ...










Let the street parties begin and we would be heading to the sunny beach for a few days to cheer for her Majesty with some nice seafood and proper Portuguese wine...
