Founded in 1946 by the naturalist and artist, the late Sir Peter Scott , the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) now has 9 major centres in the UK. The WWT London Wetland Centre was opened in 2000 and became one of the largest created wetland reserves in a capital city in the world. For more information is here.
