Portuguese Praias

There are a few incredible Portuguese Praias around the area of Sintra and Cascais.

Praia Grande, qualified as cleanest Portuguese beach by ecologists, is over 2km long. Hosting national European surf and body board championships, it offers amazing sand, waves, rocks, a cave and, apparently, 66 cretaceous disosaurs footprints (of which I have just found out now reading My Guide).

And these are the mysterious (well, not mysterious any more) Nadadores Salvadores which appeared in the short post before...

And this is Hotel Arribas located right on the Praia Grande.
Casa da Gale is one of a few restaurants located on the beach and offers a selection of seafood which can be grilled or cooked in Portuguese style... and an interesting interior design!

He shared lunch with my one and half-year old!
Praia Adraga offers fine sand and high cliffs and is a part of the Sintra-Cascais Nature Park. For those who prefer full body tan, there is the northern area of the beach which is frequently attended by nudists.
Just to note that the parking is free and not only for snails like in the UK...
