Our trip to Moscow in July trip was amazing! A month since and I still feel the buzz of Leninskiy prospect traffic in my ears, my jaws are still wide open after seeing the incredible sunset behind the Christ The Saviour Cathedral (the one where Pussy Riots sang their song), my heart was totally taken by new concept of Strelka and its generation, I so much enjoyed seeing old my friends and I honestly can say that I miss Moscow and want to come back ...
Don't waste your time looking - there is absolutely nothing funny on the first picture! I just thought it may look nice as the photo opening for this small series. Most of photos have been taken on my phone camera. While some were posted on my Facebook before, others are shown for the first time.
Mind the tram!
Can you actually spot the sign on the previous photo?! Just wondering... New unofficial parking rules - you park your cars in three rows, two of which are on the road and one on the pavement. Never mind the yummy mummies with their buggies and pensioners! And if you need to get your car out...
...just call the number on the note! This one says 'If my car is on your way, please call'.
And this one gives 'apologies for inconvenience caused' while the driver parked temporarily!
I would struggle to explain the above, so it's for your interpretation!
'Kate, receive the post!' (the words scribbled on the inner side of the window shutter of the local post office).
The first encounter with the slides and swings in the yards of the block of flats we've been staying.
This one I chose to call the 'interesting body anomaly'. One would think she advertises the benefits of plastic surgery, not ice-cream.
Some deep thinking of the local landscape designer went into this exposition!
Whilst the clock sold in the local shop is no doubt interesting example of the time keeping equipment, pay attention to the book next to it - the title simply suggest that it would explain you 'how drink every day, smoke, have sex, stop worrying and win over people'.
I thought I would finish with some Youtube video about Moscow and this came in a random search - a video of Moscow group EXTRA, where my friend Tatyana happens to sing. Ahh.. world is small, internet world is even smaller! Hope you enjoy the video.
