Fashion Art

When I moved to London, one of the habits I adopted was picking up and reading the free  issues of morning newspaper. Apart from all fresh news, which would include in its particular order - breaking story usually related to a murder or some political scandal, followed by fresh gossips and a bit of sport, it gave the feeling of being part of the new society and some dirty fingertips (the paper quality was not the main editor's first priority).

After a while I made a mature decision to skip the morning papers, but every now and then I would take a copy of some free magazine. One of my recent discoveries is The Fashion  issue of aMUSE magazine.

One of the stories featured Argentinian model artist Naomi Preizler who became known as 'the one who draws'. She started drawing at castings where one could spend hours and her sketches and drawings reflect the backstage of fashion shows or fittings at couture houses. You can look at some of her works here

Another very talented and young designer Hayden Williams creates stunning illustrations of fashion models with just a pen!

Hayden created some amazing images of the favourite models which you can find in his blog - I simply loved it!

And the last to complete my small pack of the talented new generation is a model Sasha Pivovarova. She became known for her ethereal looks but also her artwork which was inspired by 'fairytale characters coming to life in one of the main theatres of Moscow'.

And though one may try to argue that this is not art (but what is art?), I wanted to share them with you as something I really enjoyed looking at myself.
