Sightseeing in London - for every respectable tourist there are some must-see, must-touch, must-try and must-not-bother. When my friend said he wanted to see London, and with a few items on agenda, the rest was for me to decide... So I opted for all I could possibly fit within 6 hours.
Means of transportation included feet (2 pairs), bus, train, taxi, Ferris Wheel -aka- London Eye
Places visited in order were Green Park, Buckingham Palace, St.James Park, Parliament Square, Palace of Westminster and Westminster Abbey, Whitehall, Downing Street, Horse Guards, Trafalgar Square with Nelson's column, Strand and a quick look at Savoy, Covent Garden market, Holborn, St.Paul's Cathedral, One New Change (amazing roof terrace bar), The Royal Exchange, 30 St. Mary Axe Swiss Re - aka Gherkin, Tower Bridge, Southbank, London Eye and Waterloo...
The programme included complementary lunch and drinks and afternoon glass of rose (thanks, Oleg!).
The weather forecast promised no surprises and it's kept its promise - it was pouring down at times!
